A young mom cat died in our household. We suspected foul play, because her body was sort of twisted in agony and there was fresh blood oozing out from her mouth. Words can never express my feelings now. Even worst, the mom cat left behind 4 young kittens. I could only manage to find two of them, while the other two are lost hidden somewhere. I do hope the two missing kittens will show up some how. The thought of them sleeping out there in the cold and alone is depressing. And I kept playing the mom cat's final moments at our doorsteps, perhaps in a final attempt to get help. I pray so that her final breaths were easy because this is the only way for me to feel better about it. But alas, thinking about the orphaned and missing kittens makes it seem everything is oh, so useless.
